Commuter Consultant One of the Citys lesser known garden spaces, the churchyard of St Katharine Cree, is a shaded green and quiet oasis. It is accessed via a gate and narrow passageway from Mitre Lane. The churchyard has a number of stone tombs, and some gravestones leaning against the wall of the church hall. The eastern end of the churchyard is known as The Fitch Garden, and features a large decorative stone fountain attached to a wall which incorporates the stonework from a former entrance to the churchyard dating from 1631. There are several wooden benches around the churchyard, but all are looking a bit sorry for themselves, and are in need of some TLC or replacement as of March 2020. Apex City Scout It is one of the complex of Church of England (CoE) buildings in the City of London Borough used by the clergy and parishioners of St. Helens Bishopsgate, a leading evangelical CoE church in London. The St. Andrew Undershaft building itself merges the bygone days of great church buildings (real stained glass windows and all) to the modern age both by its location in the heart of the City of London Borough and also internally where modern facilities have been added without comprising the preservation of this English cultural heritage.

David Feeney A beautiful old church with a very interesting crypt museum underneath it. Jackie the guide working that day was very welcoming and also exceptional in providing information and answering plenty of questions I had throughout the visit. I was also given a map of all the churches in the city of London which I now plan to visit across my time visiting London. Well worth the effort to visit.

Mike Day The City Temple is an International Church and has been located in London since 1640. This particular building was constructed in 1873 - 74 and is now partly under the Holborn Viaduct approach. The building throws a wonderful reflection on the nearby new builds.

Neil King Sometimes known as the Square Church, St Mary Woolnorth was designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor and features a trademark obelisk on the external roof, as well as a number of cherubs internally in a style that he used frequently. When I visited there was information concerning John Newton, a former slave ship captain turned rector and a senior member of the abolitionist movement who is also known for writing the hymn Amazing Grace and penning the drawing of slave conditions on the boats that haver featured in many books on the subject. St Mary Woolnorth is both ornate and has a wonderful geometry, I can highly recommemd a visit.
